Wowzers!! Good on you Neill for keeping your fleg going there. A lone voice against the tidal wave of republican propaganda

  2. fiosrach December 30, 2015 at 2:39 pm #

Interesting, jude. I have the impression that once a new post goes up, the readers completely ignore/neglect what went before. It makes me reluctant to bother to comment on any but the top two latest posts. Numerous times I have commented on yesterday’s post only to find no comments after mine. Now this may be a misapprehension of mine and no fault of anybody or anything. I know some blogs are rhetorical – not looking at Harry or Perkin – and I find these interesting but not requiring any comment. I just feel that some of your posts deserve more of a thrashing out. Not much you can do except devise some way to keep live posts to the top.

You raise an interesting point, fiosrach. Maybe I should pull back to having fresh blogs every second day rather than every day. That might encourage the more thoughtful discussion you speak of. I’d be interested in your views and that of other readers…

Why don’t you just add a blog view page ordered by most recent post?

That would keep the active ones at the top.

        • Jude Collins December 30, 2015 at 6:33 pm #

That sounds impressive, Jessica. Now if only I knew what it meant and/or how to do it…

I am touched Twinbrook Lad as they say cream usually floats to the top.

All the time I have wasted on this blog that I will never get back it breaks my heart!

    • Twinbrook Lad December 30, 2015 at 5:18 pm #

You obviously haven’t read my comments in the past Neil and I thought you were the king of irony. Anyway, cream goes off after a few days but not in my house were I feasted on a few Irish coffees over the festive period. Lovely they were too

      • neill December 30, 2015 at 7:00 pm #

Oh I picked it up all right its the season of goodwill I was choosing to ignore it!

        • Twinbrook Lad December 30, 2015 at 11:05 pm #

I bear no animosity Neill. I may disagree with many of your viewpoints but secretly enjoy your comments

    • jessica December 30, 2015 at 5:39 pm #

Im glad someone was more gobby than me 🙂

  4. Eamon December 30, 2015 at 3:06 pm #

Neil must be your biggest fan with 881 comments. Readers from 168 different countries, that’s a great achievement Jude, keep up the great work.

    • Jude Collins December 30, 2015 at 3:09 pm #

Grma, Eamon. I don’t think neill would put the fan interpretation on his interjections. As for 168 countries – spooks are everywhere, aren’t they??

  5. paddykool December 30, 2015 at 3:58 pm #

Ah sweet sufferin’ etc… I’m affronted that I didn’t work harder and only came a mere third!!! Ha ha ! mind you , that’s not counting my alter -ego, Harry’s contributions, I suppose .I’m amazed at the “168 countries” bit. Ears are burning worldwide then?Good old Neill , though. Maybe one -liners do pay off after all , eh? Fiosrach makes a fair point .about the many and differing contributions now. We used to be a lot more alone a year or so back when i was cranking an item out every day .I’ve slowed down a wee bit because of a few other projects but there is still a lot to read and discuss when I’m not writing stories or discussion pieces. Some seem to merit no comment at all so sometimes you do wonder is it worthwhile at all, but somehow I;m always drawn back to the keypad .

Congratulations Neill on being Jude’s top commenter and on the obvious time you spend on his blog. Ach, sure you may not get the time back again but it has been time well spent – among friends.

    You love us really. 🙂

    • neill December 30, 2015 at 7:04 pm #

I do really what would I do without you?

  7. Mark December 30, 2015 at 6:42 pm #

    Comhigdeas mór Jude.

  8. fiosrach December 30, 2015 at 6:47 pm #

Keep it up, neill. Your comments are appreciated even when they are knee jerk and a mile wide. A post every other day would be less of a strain, jude. On you that is!

  9. jessica December 30, 2015 at 7:04 pm #

I couldn’t understand how there was 4 times as many views in the UK than in Ireland, then it dawned on me that perhaps the teddy bears head was once again decapitated and counted among that other lot across the foam.

Surely Jude would not allow such an atrocity to occur. 🙂

Even your bean counters have been infiltrated, what is the world coming to?

Would have been nice to know the Ireland / Britain figures though.

Comhghairdeas as an éacht iontach seo. Mar is eol duit, is treise an peann ná an claíomh.

    • Jude Collins December 31, 2015 at 4:58 pm #

Good to have you, moser – all and any views welcome…

  13. kasriti January 9, 2016 at 6:52 am #

Your comments are appreciated even when they are knee jerk and a mile wide. A post every other day would be less of a strain, jude. On you that is! Where is this information?

    • Jude Collins January 9, 2016 at 10:25 am #

Better out than in, kasriti…Although I can’t even IMAGINE any comment of mine being kj or a mw…What information do you mean?
