ST PATRICK’S DAY MESSAGE by Mike Cummings

As Britain   was imposing internment and the slaughter of Bloody Sunday was only months away,   photos depicting the welcoming of soldiers in Northern Ireland  were rushed to U. S. media outlets.  The Army and MI-5 knew that to  peacefully appease  Catholics with equal rights  would end  colonial rule.  Secret plans of  bombing,  murder and collusion with loyalist thugs began.  British  propaganda  in the U. S. claimed  criminal and Communist plots threatened N. I.  The armed resistance that ensued  subjected six counties of Ireland to more than three decades of strife.

What really happened over those 30 years?  To portray the scale  of British rogue-state behavior I offer this analogy.    Imagine the United Kingdom as the government of New York City.  The  Bronx, which would be Northern Ireland,  has a   minority (Catholics)  wishing   to secede from the City and become part of Westchester.  Imagine now the following events… which actually happened in N. I. … happening  in NYC.

  • Two Bronx lawyers are  slain by City agents for their work defending accused defendants. A journalist is  also murdered for exposing official collusion with killers.
  • A police double agent buys  arms from South Africa and gives  them to friends in the Bronx opposed to secession who use  them to kill 229  innocent people over the next five years.
  • Fearing support from residents of Westchester,  the City police provide  bombs to  anti-secessionists who  detonate them without warning in shopping centers in White Plains and New Rochelle killing 33.
  • Five elected Bronx politicians and 11 of their campaign workers  are  assassinated for their support of  the secessionists.
  • The City changes  the Coroners Rules only for the Bronx and begins  an extra-judicial execution campaign of  more than 800 secession supporters whose deaths today remain uninvestigated;  56 inquests stalled  for 30 years.
  • A City police Sgt. and father of 8,  supports  secession,  threatens  to expose the killing collusion and is  murdered by his fellow officers.
  • An inquiry into the deaths of secessionists,  headed by a Mayoral appointee, is  disrupted by police agent arsonists torching  offices  in the Bronx .

The actions depicted above were actually managed by the British Army and MI-5.  None of those responsible have been held accountable with arrest or prosecution. Imagine now  living in this  hell and NOT raising arms to fight it.

Not 1 in 100 observers along  parade routes  are aware of the enormity of British crimes in Northern Ireland; such is their monopoly of media favor. This parade day, as the police march by and the U. S. flags unfurl,  thank God you live in a true democracy where  law enforcement is subject to the rule of law.

The abuse of privilege in the British parliament led to the deaths of a number of citizens in Ireland. The abuse continues to prevail.

I was in New York for St Patrick’s Day in 2004. A Helluva Town.and the best St Patrick’s Day
ever. My son suggested we both go there.
During the parade when a band was playing Roddy McCorley a youngish man beside me was singing Sean South of Garryowen. He was a cop from Connecticut in plain clothes and believe off duty, American Born but had visited Ireland more than once and was well informed.
Went to Fitpatrick’s hotel that evening. Loads of firemen there in uniform. Great traditional music and people like us dropped in off the street, American-born dancing jigs and reels.I got
the impression that they were better informed about Ireland’s past and present than many people in Ireland. Delighted to see the subway Union with its banner celebrating its founder
Michael Quill, the IRA veteran whose life, when it ended, was saluted by Martin Luther King.
The last St Patrick’s Day I spent in Dublin was in 1964 when I led the parade escorting the Tricolour in my FCA uniform. I didn’t see much of that tawdry commercial show. New York may be dedicated to the Almighty Dollar but its parade celebrates public service with no commercial flavour whatever.
    flavour whatever.

Catholics already had equal rights in 1971.

What evidence do you have of “secret plans of bombing and murder”?

What evidence do you have that collusion with loyalist thugs began in 1971?

You forgot to add the context of a 25-year terror campaign by Bronx secessionists, opposed both by the people in the Bronx and in Westchester, and by the Westchester government, and involving the murder of nearly 2,000 people as well as countless mailings, injuries and destruction of property.

The subtext of your article also relies on an unproven assumption, namely that collusion was an active policy, with individual murders planned and authorized and equipped by the state.

Who was the police sergeant murdered by his fellow officers for threatening to expose collusion?

The police sergeant murdered by his colleagues was Joe Campbell of Cushendall.

“The police sergeant murdered by his colleagues was Joe Campbell of Cushendall.”

You sure you’re not exaggerating a bit?

“You sure you’re not exaggerating a bit?”

        In what way MT?

He was murdered by Robin Jackson, the mid ulster UVF leader who was directed by British Military Intelligence. An RUC Special Branch member from Ballymena was put on trial but acquitted over lack of evidence.

He stumbled on their activities including a robbery in cushendall and threatened to report them, he was under death threat for months which was ignored by the RUC chief constable down who allowed his murder to go ahead.
The PSNI still today turn a blind eye to special branch.

A Police Ombudsman’s investigation likewise struggled when a number of retired officers still refused to engage.

The RUC old guard like Jackson will take all evidence they can to their graves.

The odd piece of evidence slips through here and there. There are plenty of reverends ex loyalists still preaching who have evidence of collusion.

MI5 is located in Ireland to make sure they are bumped off if they decide to spill any beans.

When that generation have passed on, they and britain will leave.

“He was murdered by Robin Jackson, the mid ulster UVF leader who was directed by British military intelligence.”

So he wasn’t murdered by his colleagues, then.

How do you know who murdered him?

So he wasn’t murdered by his colleagues, then.
How do you know who murdered him?

There were weeks of tensions after he became aware off the collusion within special branch, he was abandoned within the RUC and it was one of his colleagues set him up by phoning him to meet, luring him into a gun attack. He went on trial but it is unlikely he did the deed, the agents involved worked with jacksons unit who has also killed other loyalists at the behest of his handlers. Jackson like his prodigy billy wright would normally carry out their own executions and both were very well connected within the RUC.

The Campbell family believe that the killing was carried out by a loyalist paramilitary – Robin Jackson – with the aid of rogue elements of the security forces.

Dr Maguire said he uncovered the systematic destruction and removal of RUC documents, and adds that some retired RUC officers refused to cooperate with his investigation.

“It’s well documented that on the night this happened, a phone call was received.

“He went to the station. He put on his own personal protection weapon, which he never wore. He just didn’t wear a gun at all at any stage.

“While we are aware at the time that something a bit different was going on, it’s only after the murder, and in latter years, that we could contextualise it.”

While the family has alleged a wider conspiracy of a cover-up, Dr Maguire said he had been unable to substantiate all of their allegations.

However, he found both the victim and his family were failed by the actions of the RUC before and after the shooting.
