Don’t worry Jude, If Celtic fans are feeling left out of the sectarian abuse stakes, they’ve got the proddy bestards of Rangers coming soon to let loose their vitriol upon.

Nice one, KC. Maybe deal with this one before moving to the next one?

I was recently told that the football people round Windsor Park wouldn’t care what religion I was.
This would seem to suggest otherwise.

If you wanted to go to see Rangers play, yes. But that’s because of the Rangers fans, not the ground. They’d be singing sectarian songs at every ground. If they played at Croke Park I’m sure you’d hear a rendition of the Billy Boys.

      Seems you’re looking for excuses.

        Or Linfield.

        • MT September 6, 2016 at 10:54 am #

          “Or Linfield.”

You’re unlikely to come across anything like that at a Linfield match these days. And fans of Cliftonville, mostly Catholic, travel to Windsor Park in large numbers to Linfield.matches against their team.

But I’m glad at least that you now agree that nobody would care about your religion at other matches at Windsor Park, because your initial comment implied otherwise.

          • Michael September 6, 2016 at 11:37 am #

            This was a Linfield match.

          • MT September 6, 2016 at 5:15 pm #

Against Rangers. That’s why the singing took.place. They’d be singing the same songs against Shamrock Rovers or anyone else.

          • Michael September 6, 2016 at 8:03 pm #

            As would Linfield.

          • MT September 7, 2016 at 9:03 am #

            “As would Linfield.”

But they wouldn’t. That’s what I’m saying. If you attended a run-of-the-mill Linfield match you’d be very unlikely to hear any sectarian singing. In the 70s and 80s, yes it was common, but not for a long time.

You seem to have an attitude problem towards football.

Maybe you could articulate the point you’re trying to make more clearly. That’s a link about Shamrock Rovers fans causing trouble.

        You’re embarrassing yourself now MT.

          “You’re embarrassing yourself now MT”

          I’m not.

Why don’t you spit out exactly the point you’re trying to make about Windsor Park?

Apparantly you don’t get this stuff round Windsor…..or from Linfield.
    I’ve already provided 2 examples.
    I could easily provide more.
There’s none so blind as those who will not see.
