.

Pic 1    Gillieriu  Hotel, St. Paul’s Bay, Malta, opened by a Scotsman back in the day..

Pic 2 Gillieriu  means what , Mac Cam-Béal ?  Alas, Gregser being  the Legendary Londonderry Linguist of Ulster-Scots, his expertise

does not quite  extend to the Scots Gaelic version of Giolla Rua, aka Red  Fellow /Gilleroo. This is the red rather than a brown trout  which has put Lough Melvin top of  the map

long  before the Backstop. And also, Kinlough, birthplace of Jim the Killjoy  Politician,  a nativity  fact which might knock some folk down with a, erm, fedder

Pic 3:    Inside, The Red Fellow, resplendent in his uniform of P.O.M. (Packet Of Maltesers red  is essentially  a down-to-earth chap who likes to do his homework before going UPUP

and Away. He is, as always  at this time of the year, the Rudolf the Red-nose Reigning world authority on  what the literate reader is delving into at Christmastime..
