YOUNG LIVES LOST: CROCODILE TEARS FROM TARA STREET-WA*KERS by Donal Kennedy

THE IRISH TIMES, today (October 5th) has an editorial on 186 children killed in the war which arose from the RUC attack on peaceful civil rights demonstrators in Derry exactly 51 years ago.

It is ironic for an organ that for decades led the successful campaign for the removal of legal protection for children in the womb and might rejoice in the slogan “NI THOICFAIDH A LA GO DEO” (“THEIR DAY WILL NEVER COME.” )

Hundreds of Irish GPs are now offering abortion on demand. If each performed one such operation a year their young victims would be many times greater than those suffered during over twenty five years of war. Not all those who waged that war charged for their services, suggesting more altruistic motives than those of the GPs.
