PAT + JUDE TALK ABOUT COVID, NAOMI LONG, SMALLER TURKEYS AND THAT VIDEO IN THE IRELAND DRESSING-ROOM

In an article in today’s Irish Times, Professor Diarmuid Ferriter describes the leader of the Alliance Party as ‘one of the most impressive politicians in Ireland.’ Is she? He goes on to say that if north and south go on their “divergent paths” in fighting Covid, they’ll cost lives.

 

Did you know that farmers are facing complaints that their turkeys are too big? According to the RTÉ website,  Covid will ensure that there are fewer people around most Christmas Day tables this year, hence there won’t be the need of such big turkeys. Finally, RTÉ’s website also tells us about a video which manager Stephen Kenny showed in the Ireland team’s dressing-room before Ireland’s game against England. It was three minutes long; the first two-and-a-half minutes showed great goals by the like of Ray Houghton  and Tony Cascarino; the last 30 seconds showed the “historical context” of Ireland’s relationship with England. What was in that 30 seconds and why do people want to know about it?
