PAT + JUDE TALK ABOUT THOSE AGIN SF AS 1ST MINISTER, LEO & THE BRITS, & SALLY ROONEY SAYS NO…

Both Doug Beattie, the leader of the UUP and Jeffrey Donaldson, leader of the DUP, have refused to say they’d take the role of Deputy First Minister if Sinn Féin emerged as the largest party next May and became First Minister. Is this just business as usual or should we be worried?

Both Dominic Cummings and Ian Paisley have said that B Johnson told them that he planned to rip up the protocol, signing up to it was just a strategy. Leo Varadkar says other countries should note this: the UK is not to be trusted. That’s fighting talk, and very un-Leo-like. What’s going on?

William Shatner, who boldly went etc on that TV series, has had a trip on Jeff Bezos’s rocket and he says it was amazing. Shatner is ninety years of age. Is this something to rejoice over – you’re never too old, etc., – or more revolting publicity by a man – Bezos  – with too much money?

Finally, did you hear that Sally Rooney has refused to have her book ‘Normal People’ translated into Hebrew for the Israeli market? Did she do the right thing?

Oh, and of course we have our Poop-Scoop of the Week award. Press the button for fun and games…
