PAT + JUDE TALK ABOUT SABINA’S LETTER, THE LIONESSES’ VICTORY, TRIMBLE, NOAH, TRUMP AND IRISH PRICES…

Sabina Higgins, wife of President Higgins, is caught up in a row over a letter she sent to the Irish Times. In it, she called for a negotiated end to the bloodshed in Ukraine. A lot of southern politicians and a fair number of Ukrainians aren’t one bit happy with that. We probe the matter further.

Did you catch the big game? Where the women of England defeated the women of Germany? Pat quotes a man who said an under-15 male team could beat the England team. Is that a good comparison? And will we all be driven mad for the next decade or two as the game- or excerpts from it – are played and replayed?

David Trimble was laid to rest today. Was it good that he was honoured by the presence of so many people who in life were opposed to much of his political thinking?

It seems the new British secretary of state has been quick out of the traps to stop any further investigation of the case of Noah Donohue. Will his decision stand? Are those ‘Justice for Noah’ posters just a waste of paper?

We have a quick look at American politics, and try to decide if Trump really was the worst American president; and we look at Tourism Ireland and what it’s doing – or not doing – to stop the silly gouging that’s going on these days. Like to attend a Bruce Springsteen concert? Fine. That’ll be over 5,000 euro.

Click the triangle – we sort it all out, free and for nothing….
