PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER,ROSE DUGDALE, ENTERPRISE 75, AND THE PROPAGANDA WAR IN CORK IN THE EARLY 1920s

Regular viewers of our podcast will know that Pat and I always keep a weather-eye (what else?) on the weather. These days we’ve no choice. But is the drought at present something that shouldn’t exist, given our usual filthy weather?

There’s a new book out about Rose Dugdale, the British heiress who left it all and joined the IRA. And there’s a UCC professor who argues that, while there were sectarian killings in Cork during the Tan War, there was a deliberate policy by Britain to claim that the killing of any informer who was a Protestant was a sectarian killing. Sound familiar?

And are electric cars really the answer? What about all the rail lines that were abandoned in the second half of the twentieth century – wouldn’t it make more sense to revive those than develop motorways?

So many questions which Pat and I feel we need to keep the Nation informed about.Press the triangle and prepare to be informed….
