Here’s part of an email Pat sent me today:
“On Wednesday the Israelis entered the Jenin Refugee camp and shot dead ten Palestinians. Last year they killed more than 200 Palestinians.” How is it possible that the Israeli state gets away with this kind of slaughter on a weekly if not a daily basis?

Next week sees the anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Derry in 1972. Has the trauma of that day carried across the generations?
And then there’s Enoch Burke and Bishop Berkeley – one is objecting to pronouns, the other quite liked the idea of having slaves. Should Burke shut up and should Berkeley be condemned, his name taken off the Trinity Llibrary?
