Chris Heaton-Harris has referred to Boris Johnson as ‘honest’ and ‘100%’ a man of integrity. Is this just polite references to the man who was once party leader, or should C H-H not be allowed out on his own?
There’s talk that Johnson may award his pater a knighthood. Is this sad?Bad? Mad? Or just how these things work? Would you pay to get a seat in the House of Lords? Or become a Companion of the Bath (or whatever).
The SDLP’s Matthew O’Toole was cut off in mid-sentence, it’s alleged, on the Nolan Show, because of the way he was talking about the LCC and its spokesperson David Campbell. Is it just being realistic for people to warn us about a possible loyalist backlash, or should such apparently threatening words be kept off-air?
And violence in the GAA – referees have suffered abuse and even attack. What should be the response? Heavy fines? Kick the club out for a limited period? Surely our national games should be free of violence.
This and more waiting for you behind that little arrow-head.
