Will Donald Trump be arrested this week, for having paid off the lovely Stormy Daniels, with whom he once had (ahem) a stormy affair?
Vladimir (‘Vlad’ to his friends)Putin has been declared a war criminal, a charge that will apparently last all his life. He won’t be able to travel other than to somewhere like China or North Korea. The Russian leader is outraged by this and is far from feeling Vlad All Over (sorry, couldn’t resist it).
Should public figures speak out on political matters? Gary Lineker has, to much acclaim. Sally Rooney the novelist has an article in today’s Irish Times, condemning the Irish government’s policy of ending the eviction ban. Maybe Johnny Sexton, the hero of Ireland’s Grand Slam, would speak out on the need for a citizen’s assembly to examine the question of a united Ireland?
The Windsor Framework apparently won’t allow certain kinds of plants to come here from Britain. Is this what’s keeping the DUP out of Stormont? And will it make them look good to the US, EU, UK, south of Ireland, and the majority of political parties in NEI? Running out of road is not much fun, it appears.
