PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT DONNA THE BBC & THE OO, CHRIS PATTEN ON QUESTION TIME, & BEING OLD & DUMB…

AS May turns to June, the Twelfth of July looms. The BBC has stopped giving live coverage to the marches, but GB News has said it’s interested. This of course has nothing to do with how right-wing GB News is. Or have I got that wrong?

Donna Traynor, the former BBC news reader, was given the boot from her job and so took the Beeb to court on grounds of discrimination regarding age, sex/gender and disability.  At the last minute, they arrived at a settlement. We can only hope that Donna is now rolling in the green stuff. Although it would have been fun to hear the BBC trying to justify its blatantly unfair custom of hiring and firing.

Lord Chris Patten (OK, so I get his name wrong in the vlog – that doesn’t mean I’m stupid, you know) appeared on Question Time on the BBC last Thursday. Boy, did he cut the tripe out of the Brexit brigade.  Pat and I examine the line of argument.

And finally, does age bring wisdom? Or besides getting uglier, do we get stupider as we age?

All the news that’s fit to talk about –  click the triangle and bathe in the sunshine of our wisdom….
