The Middle East is a powder keg at the minute and could explode at any time. Usually, the instigator in most scenarios is Israel, owing to its ability to do as it pleases anytime anywhere due to the fact most know the USA will come riding in to back Israel up no matter what. However, this time it appears to have been Hamas that has instigated the unrest in the region with its attack on Israel on the 7th of October.
I say “appears” to have instigated the unrest because if one looks a little deeper than the thin veil of misinformation on the surface, a deeper and more sinister and politically motivated reason appears from the shadows centred around how Israel’s almost impervious security apparatus was penetrated by Hamas, a group whose most technological weapon is a bomb slung under a balloon and old unguided rockets.
You see, what isn’t being mentioned by Israel, or indeed any Western nation or media supporting Israel, is that for 9 months prior to the 7th of October attack, Israel was in a state of unrest in itself internally. There had been numerous protests by Israelis calling for Netanyahu to step down and chanting “Bibi is a murderer” and “Bibi out now”. Didn’t you notice how quiet the Israeli government was on the international stage for months before the attack? The Israeli government was in serious trouble. It was being attacked by not only those calling for an end to the current government but also those who wanted an end to the killing of Palestinians. Israel was literally on the brink of civil war and that is not an exaggeration.
Netanyahu was basically redefining the Israeli constitution. He claimed the judicial branch of the state had too much power. In fact, there were protests planned for last week against Netanyahu and his government, and guess what… that’s all gone. Netanyahu now has an emergency government and a mandate to lead. Think about that.
So what better way for the Israeli fanatics in its government to divert the gaze of its own people away from its failings, than to shout ‘Look, the Palestinians are attacking us’. What has come to light, is that for 3 days prior to the 7th of October attack, Netanyahu knew there was going to be an attack which is why many who knew anything about Israel found it so unbelievable that with its intelligence networks and intelligence apparatus surpassed by none, Israel did not see such a huge attack coming. I would bet Israel knew Hamas was going to attack but allowed it to happen and used the emotional damage caused to justify even more shelling and bombing of Gaza (not that it ever stops).
Anyone who knows anything about Gaza and Israel will know that Israel is literally…and I do mean literally a fortress. You cannot go ten feet outside the perimeter of Gaza without running into a 19-year-old Israeli carrying an AR15 assault rifle or some other variant of automated weapon that is an IDF soldier. The entire state is surveilled to the point it makes the likes of London or Belfast look undersurveilled. There are IDF soldiers everywhere, even off-duty IDF soldiers and even civilians carry weapons…so how did Hamas gain such an element of surprise against a foe so technologically advanced that it makes America’s intelligence network look like a crayon drawing?
Why didn’t Israel stop the attack from happening? Why didn’t it make preparations to shore up the perimeter at checkpoints? Why didn’t it put extra soldiers at the checkpoints in advance of this attack? Why wasn’t the Iron Dome backed up by further anti-missile defences if Israel knew 3 days in advance that this attack was coming?…and a big question for Israel is this – After the attack, Israel’s excuse for not knowing about it was that they didn’t know where Hamas was in the days leading up the 7th of October…yet they knew EXACTLY where Hamas was immediately after that attack because, according to this intelligence super power, they were bombing and shelling Hamas strongholds and infrastructure and not innocent Palestinian and Gazan homes, schools and hospitals. Another question is – why was the Supernova concert venue moved closer to the border with Gaza only 48 hours before the attack? Surely the security-minded Israelis should have known to keep it away from Gaza or indeed to cancel it altogether if they knew the attack was imminent.
There should be no support for what Hamas did. it was bloodthirsty, it was callous and it has caused untold pain internationally. However, Israel did know about the attack 72 hours before it was due to begin and the big question is…why didn’t they stop it? It was politically motivated.
