Did an Israeli invent the word ‘chutzpah’? It means a brass neck, and judging by Israel’s actions in chastising Spain, Belgium and Ireland for speaking out against the horrible slaughter being inflicted on Gaza, it’s a word they are fond of. The world is agreed these are war crime – but will Israel’s leaders be brought to justice in the Hague? And if not, what message does that send to the next international murderer?
Conor McGregor, he of cage-fighting fame, has declared ‘Ireland is at war’. It certainly should be at war with the thugs who attacked gardaí last week, and who looted and burned, all in front of the cameras. Ireland’s international reputation is enviable – just about everywhere celebrate’s Paddy’s Day. Should we allow these morons to tarnish that reputation.
