As you are probably aware, there’s an inquiry being conducted, investigating the way Covid was handled in NEI. Michelle O’Neill has said she was sorry for the hurt her attendance at the Bobby Storey funeral may have inflicted. So has unionism received the apology gracefully? Mmm…
How do you feel about weddings? An article in today’s Irish Times suggests they are a massive and unnecessary waste of money. As interested observers, Pat and I have a few things to say.
And finally the Eurovision Song Contest – which neither of us has seen – did you watch it? Was it suitable Saturday night family viewing? And should Israel have been there in any case?
All this and sooooo much more….
Michelle could have begged forgiveness and promised to never ever attend an IRA funeral for the rest of her life and Unionists would STILL find fault. As for Eurovision, it was the usual pile of writhing half naked people, mostly men of course. Israel’s entrant was subjected to some booing but their song did well in the public vote and it was actually one of the better ones. I watched all four hours of it and even voted.
