We are podcasting on a Thursday, as you’ll have noticed, and we’re focusing on one subject with our guest Garbhan Downey, from the Derry University Group. He figures that the mentality that led to the new university being sited in Coleraine and not Derry is still operating. It’s a complicated issue but at its heart is a wonderfully simple idea: why not expand the university in Derry and create a new cross-border university that would be part of the National University of Ireland group? Take a look and listen to what he has to say.
