Radio and television are superficial media. I say that as someone who’s been involved in both: when an issue had been discussed on TV or radio over, say fifteen or twenty minutes, I invariably left the studio feeling that we hadn’t even begun to get beyond the surface of the matter.
I say that, not because I don’t want you to watch and listen to myself and Pat talk about the Black Lives Matter thing, but to tell you that there were so many aspects of the whole matter that there wasn’t time to explore.
So that’s the humble bit out of the way. What’s been recorded, however superficial, is high-quality, 24-carat superficiality. Look and listen and I’m sure you’ll agree. If you do, or if you don’t, let me know what you think and how we might improve it. Pu-lease??
