PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT STREET SIGN CONSPIRACY, HEATHER & FOX-HUNTING, AND TRUMP FLIES IN TO RESCUE GAZA

Over the weekend,some enterprising person took an axle-grinder to a bi-lingual sign for a street in Belfast, cutting off the bit as Gaeilge. Is this a principled stand against the imposition of Irish signage in places that don’t want it, or an act of bigoted vandalism?   

Catherine Connolly and Heather Humphreys continue to slug it out, although it’s not exactly Muhammed Ali v Joe Frazier – Connolly has the wind in her sails, if we’re to believe the polls. But as Pat wisely notes, there’s many’s a slip ‘twixt cup and lip. 

Today,President Trump, still smarting over his failure to get the Nobel Peace Prize, has flown into Israel, to be accorded a hero’s welcome for his support in the war …No, there was no war – his support in the slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinians. Does this mean peace in our time, given that Hamas have been defeated? Um, I’d have to say this about that…NO. Anyone who thinks that Palestinians will forget the pulverizing of Gaza will become meek little ragheads has another think coming.
