PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT THAT KNIFE ATTACK & LET’S BURN OUT SOME IMMIGRANTS,AMERICAN IMPERIAL CULTURE, & MORE

HERE’s a thing. The unfortunate man who was attacked by a Sudanese immigrant  – that all happened in  a largely Catholic/nationalist area. The two nights of violent rioting – they all happened in a largely Protestant/loyalist area.So how  come?

Are we being swamped by American ‘culture’? As wee lads a hundred years ago we played cowboys and Indians, and we knew who were the goodies and who were the baddies (‘On’y good Injun is a dead Injun’) . In films, in music, in literature – in so many fields we adopt American ways. Are we a cultural colony?

And will Starmer survive? Or will the oddly old-fashioned-looking Healey scupper him by resigning (because he wasn’t spending enough money on death-dealing weapons)…Tricky, that. Tricky.
