Logic would say we are a more rebellious race, but on the other hand there is the Catholic ethos so many were brought up in, and we believe we need to suffer willingly as penance for our wrongdoings.
Or on the other hand, it may be a matter of whether the Irish are as gullible as the British in voting in a party of millionaires who intend taking the last few pennies out of our pockets and kicking us up the backside at the same time.
Time will tell – I wouldn’t hazard a guess.

Agree an autumn election seems on the cards if only to blunt the rise in 1916 patriotism which will be inevitable as easter 2016 approaches
English masochism? more due to a stranglehold on the media. part of SNPs success was due to supporters accessing alternative media, local meetings, and so on. The british labour party didn’t really get that together –

hopefully the irish opposition parties have learnt what not to do.
