“AN IMPERFECT STORM
The Mediterranean, being rather a lake than a sea, is non-tidal. Thus, when a tsort of tsuami tswamps the coastline of Malta, as it did last month, even the normally underwhelmed Maltese stand to watch.
Pic 1: Take that!
Pic 2: And that!
Pic 3: Will this car make it?
Pic 4: Half-way there
PS The car made it, phew…Hence the title, An Imperfect Storm

“Thought this scene was worth photographing. Having my morning coffee on Thursday whilst standing at my kitchen door and watching the rising sun try to break through the clouds, this pheasant stepped out of the hedgerow into a slightly misty and dew covered field in front of my house. Sometimes a simple moment can make your day.”

Great stuff this Saturday from our photo -buffs, Jude.
Methinks Perkie is making a big deal of the local Maltese car wash!
Touché ! Sherdy, a chara.
Mind you, the Getaway Car-spray Company mightn’t agree.
You see, as far as they are concerned, this front of their’s, the legit car-wash, couldn’t get enough publicity. Indeed, this, erm, sea-fronts of their’s.
Interesting photos from Perkin.
I’m a bit of a weirdo, I love storms. I think the term for people like me is a “Storm Chaser” or “Gobshite”. I still remember Storm Eva and Storm Desmond with fondness, which was raging across Ireland this day last year (2015). Whereas this month its been dry, mild (even warm in places like Derry, a record 16 degrees on Wednesday) and with very little wind. I love wind, nothing freshens up the mind like a good gust.
I like the photos of the pheasant. I love animals in general but it disgusts me the treatment these creatures endure on factory farms, slaughter houses, etc. It truly is barbaric and largely ignored by the World because a cheap piece of unhealthy, water flooded, chemical ingrained meat is more important than a creatures right to a good quality of life.
I love Astronomy. Seeing images of our Yellow Dwarf is incredible. Its hard to believe it consumes 600 million tons of hydrogen per second. Its so huge that the Earth could fit into it a million times. But if you think that’s big then there’s another star called “UY Scuti” which has 5 BILLION times the volume of our Sun, our Sun would literally be a speck if placed along side it….
Nice photos Perkin.
