Those of you who are among the MILLIONS who read each blog on this site will know that I’ve talked about Brian Stanley, Sinn Féin TD. Well, you’re in luck – you can now hear Pat and myself consider both of Stanley’s tweets and, perhaps more important, the reaction of other political parties to it.
And you don’t have to be a nurse or live in the south to know hypocrisy when it jumps up and bites you. I’m referring to the failure of the Dáil to vote for a pay rise for student nurses. Is this a case of clap but no tching?
Finally, that case of the young fellow who suffers from MS and who had a cannabis plant in his home, which he used to help him cope with the pain of his disease. No more. The stout men of the Garda Siochána raided his house and removed the offending plant. Enforcing the law or using the proverbial sledge hammer to crack the MS nut?
All this and more besides. Hey – it’s raining outside. Click the button and bring some sunshine into your Friday life…
