At least two new outbreaks of PSNI variant 21 were reported in the last few days.
Both were to be found in Belfast.
They appear to follow an ongoing pattern .
The first cases were observed in East Belfast, during a show of strength by the loyalist paramilitary group, the Ulster Volunteer Force. A proscribed, illegal, terrorist organisation.
This variant known officially as ‘Strandtown PSNI 21’ but referred to locally as ‘Standown PSNI 21’ was, relatively ineffectual in its interactions and affect on the local population.
The show of strength by the UVF continued, unaware that it was under attack from the new variant PSNI 21 strain. They proceeded to terrorise the host community, unmolested. They forced some local families they had targeted to seek refuge in a nearby community centre, which then had to shut its doors for fear of the lawless, marauding gangs, roaming the streets outside, unchallenged.
The facility also serves as a food distribution centre for the vulnerable and the elderly.
Let us hope and indeed pray, it does not suffer an arson attack such as recently befell the Belfast Multicultural centre .That has been categorised by the authorities as racist
The second more virulent, PSNI variant 21 happened on the Ormeau Road.
This new mutated pathology proved much more violent in its interaction with the local community.
A small group, much, much smaller than the 150 gathered in East Belfast were marking a solemn occasion.
The dignified gathering,of a small group of relatives and survivors of the Ormeau road massacre from 1992 were remembering their dead. A limited number of family and friends prayed together, during the laying of a small floral tribute by the grandchild of one of the survivors.
This has happened at the same time, in the same place, with the same people for the last 28 years and would have been part of the police daily briefing for officers patrolling the area.
The new PSNI 21 variant ,stormed the host community, assaulted them, violently restrained and arrested one of those in attendance.
It is possible the pathology attacked this particular victim as he was weakened, by virtue of the fact, he had been shot seven times in the original deadly assault, on that same community in 1992.
In response, local authorities issued a series of meaningless press releases and sound bites designed to allay public fear of, and reaction to, the new PSNI 21 endemic.
Local reactions may come into force.
The ‘Strandtown, Standown’ variant In East Belfast, is deemed to be ineffectual, so no action is to be taken.
The ‘Musgrave Street variant, known locally as ‘Mostgrave Street’ variant may see a lockdown enforced.
All infected officers may be confined to barracks.
They will only be allowed to leave the station once a day to buy apology cards.

Many older residents who are most susceptible to the virus, are comparing this new mutated variant to the original RUC police variant of 1922. That lasted over 70 years.
The only real, lasting remedy, might be to disband the PSNI, all together.
The ethos, culture and colonial mindset that breeds these sometimes deadly strains of policing, can only be eliminated, if the host organisation is eliminated through its disbandment.
Otherwise we might be condemned to witness these partisan, sectarian, anti catholic, anti Irish, anti nationalist and anti republican PSNI variants to continue unchallenged for the next 70 years.
There is no known vaccination for these mutant police genes.
If education does not work, then the host community must act decisively!
