With a speech before Parliament, Queen Elizabeth II will promote the pardon of all security forces killings of Irish citizens in Northern Ireland. That’s Britain’s N. I. policy in a nutshell: “Keep calm and carry on!” Using a script no doubt provided by the Ministry of Defense, a ‘royal assent’ is to be granted to the unilateral amnesty which will involve soldiers, MI5 and double-agents involved in up to 1000 civilian killings, mostly Catholics, that were never given a minimal standard of investigation. This pardon will include those British Army personnel responsible for Ireland’s equivalent of a 9-11 attack…the no-warning bombing of Dublin and Monaghan shopping centers that killed thirty-three. The GFA promising a democratic referendum on Ireland’s reunification did not merit a mention. These Brexit related moves have prompted anger and concern by ABC members from around the nation.
