SAMUEL BECKETT- A GOOD IRISHMAN – NEW BLOG by Donal Kennedy

I was wrong to write that Beckett didn’t have an Irish Passport in my recent Blog.

He donated one of his poems to the Connolly Association for a collection they published “Beyond The Shore”. And the Association was involved in a commemoration at his Paris grave attended by the Irish Ambassador.

I am indebted to my good friend Peter Mulligan, a former President of the Connolly Association and former  Secretary of Connolly Publications Ltd, who was responsible for numerous publications  and has been involved with Tony Coughlan in the compilation of the DESMOND GREAVES JOURNAL

The Journal was kept by Desmond Greaves from 1933 until two days before his  death in  August 1988. There are 2,000,000  words in the journal. and  23 Volumes are  available on line. Just key in Desmond Greaves Journal Volume 23 covers 1st August 1971 to 30 June 1972.

So I apologise for my error and pray your forgiveness.

And  I am grateful to Peter Mulligan for his continued friendship and commitment to justice and truth.
