TRUTH COMES DROPPING SLOW – by Donal Kennedy

In May 1915, in accordance with the accepted rules of war. a German submarine sank the RMS Lusitania off the Old Head of Kinsale on its way from New York in the (neutral) United States to Liverpool.

Construction of the vessel, owned by Britain’s Cunard Line. began in 1904. Britain had long adhered to the Dogma of Laissez Faireunder which Government subsidies to private business were deemed  Grievously Sinful.

But 1904 was also the year of the Entente Cordiale and the setting up of the secret Committee of Imperial Defence which busied itself for the next ten years for a combined French/Russian/British onslaught on Britain’s main trade rival  – Germany.

The construction was heavily subsidised by the British Treasury and constructed for war-time roles. Early in the war the British Navy swept German Merchant Shipping from the world’s oceans and imposed a blockade to starve Germany into submission.

Germany responded using submarines and let the world understand this tactic.

The German Consulate in New York paid for notices in American papers advising readers not to book passages on the Lusitania.

The Germans were within their rights to sink the Lusitania and did so. They had not started a war on Britain, France or Russia but responded when attacked.

I imagine that in the British Admiralty, Champagne was drunk by the gallon and a wonderful party got under way. They had been long trying to inveigle the Americans into their war, and among the lives lost in the Lusitania’s sinking were more than 100 Americans.

British propaganda had been shrill since the war’s outbreak and unencumbered by any conscience or the tiniest concern for truth.

Nearly two years elapsed before the United States entered the War as “an Associated Power” of the Allies. There was no sentiment involved. The Americans made money hand over fist since 1914, supplying war equipment and other goods to the Allies. They joined in the fighting when they considered that course would be even more profitable. Numerous, supposedly fact-based movies show  newspaper placards announcing the sinking of the Lusitania to fool you into believing that the Americans joined the war the day after the sinking.

In October 1915 a brave and patriotic British Nurse, Edith Cavell, was shot by a German Firing Squad in Belgium after a Court Martial found her guilty of passing information to their Enemy.

One hundred years later, Dame Stella Rimington,  a former Directorn of Britain’s MI5, declared that the Germans had the Lady  “BANG TO RIGHTS”

War is a nasty business and the Germans were merely applying the ethics of the business as then understood in civilised society.

TRUTH COMES DROPPING DAMN SLOW WHEN IN BRITISH CUSTODY

The shooting of Edith Cavell was condemned as the most evil of crimes by British propagandists. But between themselves they boasted that it had been worth two Army Corps to them.

Scores of thousands of Brave, Chivalrous and Generous Men flocked to the British Colours, T

The Church of England Inscribed Nurse Cavell’s name in its Calendar of Saints.

If there is a Calendar of Devils it should have a Litany of Lying Propagandists ,

It has long been rumoured  that there were war materials in the Lusitania’s hold. The ship’s location is well known and is close to the Irish coast in our territorial waters. A few years ago the Irish Government was reluctant to permit its exploration. In this Decade of Rememberance it, is, surely appropriate to establish the truth about the Lusitania’s cargo, Many Irishmen flockedto Britain’s Colours, to avenge what was portrayed, falsely, as a War Crime..

If an ex-Director of MI5 can be candid about duping innocents into killing and dying for a lie, surely some Irish politicians, academics, and frogmen and women can establish the truth about the Lusitania’s cargo?
