The Platinum Rain of Elizabeth Windsor – by Donal Kennedy

I

The words Golden Rain occur in dictionaries of Slang and inspire the heading here.

The celebration of seventy years of the British Monarch’s  Reign is no more appealing to my taste buds than the perversion there explained.

During the first eight years of that reign almost 1,100 Africans had their necks broken by her hangmen in Kenya alone, following farcical trials.

Untried prisoners were tortured and murdered in her concentration camps by her agents there.. Men, women and children were hunted by her troops on horseback as if they were fox hunting. One of those horsemen was the guru who planned Britain’s most recent war on Ireland including the key roles of the parachute Regiment, the assassination gang Military Reaction Force, collusion with Loyalist murder gangs, and the subordination of media and judiciary to the Establishment’s War Aims.

I believe that most of Britain’s Judiciary are men and women of integrity, and also many journalists and some in her armed forces.

But the Lords Denning, Widgery, and Hutton, for example and most Knighted British Journalists and favoured military men are sweet to their paymasters but  rotten to the core.

On 17 February 1972, 18 days after Bloody Sunday the Guru was awarded a CBE as a token of the Queen’s approval of his role in Ireland in the previous two years.

There is scarcely a year in the past seventy that Britain has not been involved in open warfare or covert skullduggery against countries which posed no threat within her shores or to her legitimate interests.

I cannot think of any war fought by Britain to defend its territory from invasion, for nearly 1,000 years.

The Germans had neither the means nor intention of doing so at anytime. Erskine Childers and John Buchan notwithstanding the English, or the most ambitious and greedy of them, supported the invasion by William of Orange.

The idea that the House of Windsor stands for Democracy , Justice, or human decency is laughable.

It is self-centred and venal. Jimmy Savile’s role as mentor to Prince Charles makes that of Rasputin to the Czarina look beneficial.

You’d imagine Mountbatten’s role was bad enough.

As for Prince Andrew, who could invent such a Rotter?

But look at the conduct of George VI when he was Duke of York in 1919 and the then Prince of Wales the later Edward VIII.

A recently discovered letter reveals that they endured a game of golf with two of their “friends” in order to cuckold them, which they did.

Lord Chesterfield (who when Lord Lieutenant of Ireland bestowed the Phoenix Park on the City of Dublin) published his Letters to his Son. He advised him to pose as friends of men so that he could seduce their wives.

Reading the Letters, Wolfe Tone, an Eighteenth Century gentleman susceptible to female attractions, wrote that Chesterfield deserved to be horse-whipped.

It seems to me that neither  Edward VIII nor  George VI were gentlemen, nor is the current Prince of Wales or Prince Andrew. For all the titles of nobility bestowed on the House of Windsor, Nobility of Character is not apparent.

I am put in mind of the words of Squire Weston, when he rescued his daughter Sophie from  the clutches of a titled “Nobleman” in Fielding’s Tom Jones –

“For all your fancy folderols, YOU’RE THE SON OF A WHORE!”
