PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT SF ARD FHEIS, CLIMATE CRISIS, THE COST OF LIVING AND THE US MID-TERM ELECTIONS

 

 So did you tune into the Sinn Féin Ard Fheis over the weekend? Not except you were watching it on your computer. But RTÉ did cover Mary Lou’s speech on Saturday night and she was interviewed by Áine Lawlor on RTÉ the following morning. Pat and I noted a few things on Saturday night and Sunday morning (wasn’t that a book once? A movie?)

Then there’s the climate crisis conference that Rishi Sunak said he wasn’t going to, might go to, did go to. Are all those planes ferrying world leaders actually helping create pollution rather than address the problem? And should a hard-pressed farmer not be entitled to use a bag of turf and to hell with the future?

Would you like to spend four weeks in the sun? And actually save money by doing so? Easyjet and a few others are suggesting you can.

Finally, the mid-term elections in the US. It looks  as though the Democrats may take a pounding. Is Joe Biden Keir Starmer in disguise?
