So now that SIR Keir Starmer has finished kicking Jeremy Corbyn out of the party for being anti-Semitic (I always think a lie should at least resemble a possible truth, but there you go), now Diane Abbott, an ally of Corbyn, has been hauled over the coals because…Give me a minute, we’ll think of something – Oh yes – she said that Irish, Jews and Travellers didn’t historically suffer the same sectarianism as blacks, who were taken in manacles from Africa, sold as slave labour, discriminated against in every way, including sitting at the back of the bus. So that shows she’s anti-Semitic, and that’s why she’s had to retract and say she shouldn’t have said any of that.
My daughter lives in England and says she would vote for a hatstand before she’d vote for a Tory candidate. Me, if I lived there, I’d vote for a coal-scuttle before I’d vote for Labour. Under SIR Keir Starmer, long-time MPs like Corbyn and Abbott are being kicked around, silenced and on occasion ejected from the party, because SIR Keir thinks they might have a faint whiff of socialism attached to them and because they’ve spoken uncomfortable truths. And if it wasn’t socialism it’d be a desire to return to the EU. Or maybe be responsible for increasing the number of members of the Labour Party by a few hundred thousand. (Mind you, SIR Keir has seen to that too – the Labour Party membership has shrunk by several hundred thousand, owing to his magnetic leadership).
You know a power-hungry leader when he doesn’t respond to statements made – how could he, when they’re true?- but instead attacks and demonises the speaker of those truths.
I can only hope that history will expose Starmer for the principle-free fraud he is, and that some day, a leader devoted to democracy and – dare I say it? – socialism will take the Labour Party steering wheel from the bullying knight and send him to sleep with the fishes.

Very goodJude
Thank you, James…
tremendous as always Jude
Thanks, Peter…
The rightwing Blairite/pro-Israel minority controls the Labour Party and it can never be otherwise in this totally corrupt system based on greed, privilege, gross injustices against the poor, sick, vulnerable etc. Only a rightwing party like Blair’s New Labour is allowed to govern. The successful right-wing media demonising and toppling of Corbyn was led by state broadcaster BBC. The UK is, in effect, a one-party state. The energies of the many good people working for a fair and just society should be directed at fighting for a republic. It’s the only realistic option to effect the necessary radical change. Anything less will always end in bitter disappointment. If the option for a republic was offered in a referendum it would get a lot of support.
