FIGHTING CRETINISATION – by Donal Kennedy

The attempted Cretinisation and Lobotomisation of the Irish people, paid for  by their own taxes and TV Licence Fees during the  so called Decade of  Remembrance has been only partially successful.

The attempt to commemorate the Royal Irish Constabulary whom the first Dail Eireann unanimously
decreed should be ostracised, blew up in the face of Charlie Flanagan, and the wall in Glasnevin
Cemetery intended to honour equally those who died to free Ireland and those who died to keep
her enslaved, had to be abandoned.

The Irish Embassy in Brussels, at the taxpayers’ expense, had Gay Byrne bad-mouth the people
who by their votes established a Democratic Republic, and defended it with their blood, toil,
and tears, and an Irish Ambassador to Britain, Dan Mulhall, in Liverpool University, ignorantly asserted  that the Irishmen who served in the British Forces in the First World War, had been written out of our history by ourselves. (See my BLOG – “Gallipoli, Two German Officers and the Fog of Military History.”

His Excellency was dedicating the back copies of the weekly IRISH POST published in London since
1970- a paper devoted to the destruction of the kind of ignorance promoted by highly paid  “Irish
Public Servants” and History Professors in Irish Seats of Learning.

Amateurs, lovers of truth have, so far, saved us Irish  from the ignorant stampede into ignorance by our enemies.

My own little Platoon, The Connolly Association, has made available online all copies of The Irish
Democrat and its predecessor, Irish Freedom published since 1938.From 1948 until his death
in 1988 its Editor was Desmond Greaves. It was his advice which helped me to wield a pen more
purposefully than the shillelagh of a faction fighter in a 19th Century Fair. I understand that the late
John Charles McQuaid, Archbishop of Dublin had every copy of the paper published during his lifetime.

So I hope to examine old copies on line. I first started reading it in 1979, and as a Catholic Irishman
saw nothing in it to worry me. Desmond’s diaries and table talk over many decades are also online.
He was a scientist by training, a poet, knowledgeable about music and a lot more, full of anecdotes
so that however serious his subject he was never less than entertaining.

Other amateurs are the Aubane Historical Society and the Irish Political Review Group.

These amateurs have published authenticated writings of Roger Casement  –

The Crime Against Europe and The Crime Against Ireland exposing Britain’s long laid plans to smash its trade rival Germany. which would explain why Britain’s Minister in Oslo planned to murder Casement more than a year before he was arrested in Kerry and hauled off to London to be found guilty (by an English Jury) of Treason.

It has also located and reprinted THE IRISH BULLETIN in many volumes. It was the daily publication
of Dail Eireann, a never refuted publication which revealed to the world what was happening in Ireland from 1919 to December 1921. A key document which should have been reissued by the Oireachtas  with the assistance of Irish University History Faculties.

Aubane also arranged for the publication of Sean Moylan’s Memoir and many, many other publications.

Its monthly IRISH POLITICAL REVIEW, its quarterly IRISH FOREIGN AFFAIRS and quarterley CHURCH AND STATE are amongst the best publications in the English language.

Its writers are enthusiastic amateurs who don’t lunch with Lockheed, whose moral compass is unbeholden to West Point, or the Royal United Services Institute, and are not garlanded with OBEs or other such bribes. Though many of them have academic qualifications, there does not seem to be a cad, nor a coward amongst them.
