A Westminster committee has recommended that we stop having a First Minister and a Deputy First Minister, and have simply two joint First Ministers. Now why would they make a suggestion like that, and make it now? And should we go along with it?
The good Lord John Alderdice did an interview with the BBC’s Mark Carruthers, and essentially said that a reunited Ireland was coming up fast and unionists would need to prepare for it. Is it important for him to say that – did we not know that already?
Trump is ahead in five out of six key swing states, according to opinion polls. Is it possible he could be US president this time next year? And if so, how much power does he really have?
Finally, immigration. The South is having a housing and health crisis – is that due to the number of immigrants being allowed in? Do you risk being labelled ‘racist’ if you bring up such matters?
