So – that leaders’ debate on RTÉ last night – how would you rate the performances? And do these debates matter in the end?

Have the DUP a problem with women? Gordon Lyons had to apologise to an Alliance MLA, for telling her ‘aggressively’ to sit down.

And what about John McGahon? He’s running for Fine Gael, and after what Simon Harris dismissed (initially) as ‘a scuffle’, a man was taken to hospital after being punched in the face repeatedly as he lay on the ground by McGahon. Is this really how political candidates should behave?
