Two topics only this time, I’m afraid. But rest assured – we squeeze both dry.
The first is events in the Middle East. Trump has shown his usual light touch by dropping a massive bomb – short of nuclear they don’t come any bigger than the Bunker Buster. Only now what? Will the Iranians now bend the knee and allow Israel to run totally amok? We could answer that using some very rude language but we restrain ourselves.
Then there’s Leo Varadkar’s visit to Belfast. On B(ritish)BC he was interviewed, and credit where credit Is due – it was an outstanding interview. We discuss Leo’s thinking on a UI, on reconciliation, on 50% +1 – the lot. Take it from me- this visit will be a key moment in our history
