Regarding what some historians have more recently described as a Genocide in the Derry area, Donegal, Tyrone, the shores of Lough Neagh and into Fermanagh.
A great devastation in the early 1600s leading to the end of the Nine Years War in
especially, the Nine Counties of Ulster.
But also leading to famine, plague and a
brutal reduction in the local populatin.
