Surely to God
We’ve been here before?
Surely we have?
Why would you march down a road
To annoy and to threaten?
With all the potential for
Further violence?
Why would you do that?
Grown men, not wee boys.
And what is the motivation
That moves you now?
Faith, Hope and Charity?
Where is it?
I don’t see it . . .
What would Jesus do?
Do you know he sees you
And any other hangers on?
Right or wrong, from both sides now.
What would Joni do?
We have no case in our basket.
We are too hot to handle.
As we drag our coat tails
Out for another ramble.
” Here, we see you
And we know yer ma.
And yer da got his too.
Hey! We see you! ”
Can you sing a different tune?
Do you have the right key to unlock change?
Will you ever march to a different tune, like?
What is so important about
An inch of space
When you can’t share it with others?
And yet we are all
On the one raft together
Whatever the weather.
Whatever the weather
We all get wetter together.
Can we keep the raft afloat?
Or do you just want another
Titanic?
How is it all our hero’s
Are just tragedies in the making?
