Mike and Gerry and a mouthful of Kellogs

I nearly choked on my Rice Krispies this morning – be warned, do not try listening to Raidió Uladh/Radio Ulster with a mouthful of cereal. It was after 8.00 a.m. and Mike Nesbitt came on to square a circle. That is, to explain how it was that on the last day of Haass negotiations, he told reporters “We’re nearly there – eighty to ninety per cent is agreed”,  and now is announcing that the Haass talks were a complete shambles. You might think Mike did this by addressing what looked like his contradiction of himself. Uh-uh. Mike explained it by saying the DUP and Sinn Féin were at odds about how the talks should now be used, with the DUP saying they were matter for negotiation and Sinn Féin saying they contained agreed matters and now should be built on. Nice one, Mike. If you’re going to use a red herring, make sure it has a pungent herring smell. This one fitted the bill in being measured at 80-90% of stinkiness.

Mike was followed by Gerry Kelly, who was asked about the talks but also about some tired old news resurrected, to wit that trip he took on the bonnet of a PSNI jeep. Interestingly enough, the PSNI took now to announce that Gerry’s been cautioned (I think that’s the term) for putting the safety of PSNI officers at risk by being carried on the bonnet of their jeep…Pardon me a moment while I wipe some Rice Krispies off the wall. Gerry Kelly was being carried on the PSNI jeep bonnet and the PSNI were the ones at risk? What – were they expecting him to rip off their windscreen and throttle them? If I ever have to decide which is the riskier, being carried on the bonnet of a moving vehicle or being inside that vehicle while someone else is being carried on it, I’m half-way into the driver’s seat before you can say “Dangerous pedestrian ahead”.

Jude Gerry Kelly broke the law and deserved to be punished and Mike Nesbitt is an ass no story here!

I cannot believe Gerry got a warning for being given a lift from the very kind PSNI.

If I remember correctly, G Kelly was walking across the front of the Jeep to speak to the commander when he was in front the driver moved the vehicle slowly into G Kelly which meant he had to jump on or be run over. The Driver should have been done with assault, Dangerous driving, driving without due care and consideration; then he should have been breathalysed. I bet that would have been interesting.

Maybe Mike was getting Gerry confused with that fine example of loyalism, the fool who was washed off the top of the PSNI jeep? I don`t think he even mentioned that at all.

Know what if I was a Unionist I would probably be out rioting as well, there is not ONE single politician of Unionist class that is worth his/her salt, no leadership, no acumen and no F@CKING sense! To me this is all about Fenian numbers taking over wee norn iron, isn’t it ironic the statelet that was built on a fake majority will be dismantled by a fake majority, keep breeding fenians!

Chris has been run over by a Jeep, sorry this happens from time to time, (shoddy American engineering.)

    Chris
Wouldn’t it be much better, rather than dismantling the ‘statelet’, for the Fenians to run it in an efficient fairand humane manner. To show the Unionists what might have been, instead of the monstrosity they created, based on separation, fear and bigotry.
