The briefest of blogs to say a huge “THANK YOU” to all 45 of the good and generous people who supported my half-marathon run in Omagh today. Thanks to you we’ve not only met the £1000 target – we’ve smashed it – total at the moment is £1150. You are superb.
Close study of the picture will show that I have arrived home in one piece physically but of course damaged irreparably mentally. Meanwhile, modesty naturally forbids me from mentioning how stunningly swiftly I covered the 13.1 miles….
PS – I should have added: in addition to the online £1150, a considerable number of equally good-hearted people pressed silver into my hot little hand – £520 to be exact. Do the sums: Trócaire total = £1670. Thank you again to all. And (ahem) the online site is still open to donations, as am I…

Never doubted the outcome. Cheers.
Grma, Myles. See Doctor Johnson: “Like a dog walking on its hind legs or a woman preaching, the wonder is not that it is done well but that it is done at all”. (And before the PC brigade get me in their cross-hairs, that was DOCTOR SAMUEL JOHNSON, not me…
Could be worse -they might get you in their crossed legs!
Glad to see that you completed the task with brain and limbs intact , Jude..I will rejoin the shenanigans in a week or so so keep those home fires burning till then .
THAT slow !
Even a coach, Esteemed Blogmeister, couldn’t go THAT slow.
Whatever about twiddling the back of the clock knob in these Daylight-Saving days, be sure and slug that flagon of designer water before retiring.
The Drug Testing duo with the jugs will around in the last darkness of the dawn to be; attend the six o clock knock.
