SATURDAY PIC(S) OF THE WEEK

Pic One: by Madadh Mor

“Taken by my daughter on an ordinary street in Liverpool a few weeks ago. She’s an animal lover but even she thought it was a bit excessive.  Of all the animals the pig seemed to be the best mannered. Don’t think the fouling applies to it.”

Pic Two :  by Antrim Lens

I don’t have AL’s comments on this pic to hand, but I think the precision of the image speaks for itself. Harry – you’ll like this one, I’m sure. Shows us the insect world and its intricacy that we pass over with the naked eye.

Pic Three: Antrim Lens

“Everyone loves a nice sunset; this one was taken at Lough Neagh just outside Crumlin”.

A stunning moment caught perfectly. No wonder Pearse wrote “The beauty of the world hath made me sad/This beauty that will pass”.

Pics 4 and 5:  by John Patton, who blogs at phototilly.eu, where you’ll find a wealth of marvellous photographs. Here’s John talking about these two:

“Discovered the Glenelly Valley for the first time today. What an absoutely stunnigly  scenic area in the Sperrins. The big house is an abandoned rectory between Cranagh and Plumbridge. The area reeks of history and was once a Gaelic speaking area.##

And finally, this one by Kieran Maxwell. Last but not least. I’ve just watched Truffaut’s interview with Hitchcock. Like a scene from the great spine-chiller, the drinks and the shadows tell their own story. Love it.

Great pics Jude, capturing the intricacies and beauty of our world. And it all happened by accident ? I don’t think so !
