    What is clear, of course, is that only those who fail to understand what a united kingdom is, would respond in such a way.

    Although it could be simple mockery.

    Or irony: the United Kingdom is *safe* in an EU? Really?

    That’s a bit like a sovereign independent Ireland in an EU. You know, an independent nation state devoid of a nation state.

        If you don’t see the contradiction of a supposed independent state in the EU, then nothing I say will help explain that to you.
