Oscar Wilde was sentenced to 2 years hard labour & subsequently went to Paris where he died 3 years later. This was in 1895. My point is, was it feasible with such a high profile case at that time that Roger Casement would record his own sexual proclivities when there was so much fear surrounding homosexuality, (Black diaries). Why would an intelligent, successful man do that, unless, of course, he didn’t.
