This is an interview I conducted with Martina Anderson MEP last week on the subject of Brexit. I don’t think many of us appreciate how important Brexit is going to be in the coming 3-5 years, not just economically but politically. It’s also striking that the EU has entertained the notion of a united Ireland and provision for that within the EU; unlike Britain, which in one breath tells us we’re an integral part of the UK and in the next that we’re in a different position from England, Wales or Scotland.

Martina, a lassie for whom I have the most enormous respect, since she was one of the few whom was prepared to die for freedom, has, in this piece, made one sad mistake.
If she thinks, for one moment, any Free State party, in government, will do anything to fulfill their responsibility to act positively as co-guarantor of the Good Friday Agreement, it is Martina who is sadly deluded.
I do hate to say this about Martina but, that’s how it is.
