On 4 September 2018 I asked here “IS GORDON
BROWN A HUMBUG?
On a visit to the Vatican he presented the then
Pope a collection of Sermons by his (Gordon’s) late father, a Presbyterian
Divine.
Gordon does not lay claim to religious belief,
himself, but does lay claim to a Moral Compass.
I accused Brown of humbuggery and moral
cowardice. One of Britain’s greatest humbugs was Horatio Bottomley, owner and
editor of the militarist rag “John Bull” an MP once spoken of as a
future Prime Minister who made a fortune by swindling its simple readers and
was imprisoned for his crimes, Bottomley was perhaps Brown’s equal as a humbug,
but had one redeeming quality lacking in Brown – a sense of humour. A
Prison Visitor found Bottomley making mail bags and asked “Sewing?” to
be answered with thereply -“No, Reaping.”
Brown is the author of a book called
“Courage, Eight Portraits” where he singles out one of two Swedish
diplomats who saved
many Jews from murder by the Nazis during the
Second World War. Both diplomats were murdered after the war, one by the
Soviets, the other by Zionists. Which one
do you think Brown chose to portray? You guessed it! The one murdered by
the
Zionists was a non-person in Brown’s book. A
children’s book on heroes worthy of emulation on sale last Christmas features
Brown’s hero, but the other, Count Folke Bernadotte,is not mentioned. George
Orwell wrote scathingly of those choosing the “Moral Compass”
favoured by Gordon Brown. (See my BLOG – “A SONG FOR BERNADOTTE?” of

Contemptible as Brown’s behaviour outlined above
seems to me, I’m now convinced that he’s allied with far more sinister doings.

revisited.” President Eisenhower’s valedictory massage on leaving
the White House warned
of the growth of a
“Military-Industrial Complex” destructive of democracy and
threatening war. Gordon Brown is chief Begetter
of “ARMED FORCES DAY” sponsored
by British and American arms manufacturers and suppliers to regimes which
(unlike
Britain and the US) do not even pretend to
believe in democracy, human rights, and the Rule of Law.
The late Gore Vidal described Vice President
Dick Cheyney’s role in the war on Iraq launched in 2003. After destroying
Iraqui
cities, at US taxpayer’s expense, the rebuilding
was given to the Haliburton Corporation, whose Chairman was Dick Cheyney.
In “Catch 22” Milo Minderbender
merely made a profit out of the war, he didn’t start it.
Millions of Britishers marched against the War
on Iraq, and approximately one million Iraqi civilians, half of them children
died
as a consequence. US Secretary of State
expressed herself happy with the result.
Gordon Brown’s Moral Compass was unmoved by the
Iraqi death toll. Compassion is not his thing. But he was distreseed by
the dissenting conscience of millions of
Britishers. Hence Armed Forces Day .
