PAT +JUDE TALK ABOUT POOTSY’S VISIT TO DUBLIN, SIMON COVENEY, AN IRISIH LANGUAGE ACT- AND MEN CRYING

Yesterday the DUP’s new leader, Edwin Poots went down to Dublin and had a meeting with An Taoiseach. They seem to have got on well, although Pootsy made a clear distinction between Micheál Martin (yes, Virginia, Pootsy spoke an Irish word) and Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney. Will such visits help solve the Protocol problem?

Simon Coveney has suggested it’s maybe time for the EU to lay it on the line and let the UK know that they’ve signed up to an international agreement and should be abiding by its terms. Will that jolt unionists into facing the facts of the case?

Will Pootsy agree to an Irish Language Act? If he does, Jim Allister will have a field day jumping all over him; if he doesn’t, nationalists and republicans are going to be even less impressed. And would all of Pootsy’s party be in favour of feeding the crocodile?

Donald Trump has been banned from Twitter and now his blogsite has folded. Has the glitter gone off him, now he’s out of office? Or is he the shark in Jaws, out there somewhere biding his time?

Finally, are you a man? If so, do you cry? And if you do, are you ashamed of yourself? Besides, do women really believe that men should express their feelings in tears, just like women?

All this and so much more, setting you up for a wild week-end
