PAT +JUDE TALK ABOUT PADDY’S DAY, IRAN AND THE UK DEBT, POOR MICHEÁL, `P&O FERRIES AND SELLING GUNS

Yesterday, there was one good-news story: Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was released by Iran after six years. But how come we never heard there was a multi-million debt to be paid to Iran by Britain?  And was it ransom money.

It appears that Micheál Martin     didn’t exactly have the luck of the Irish – this year again he didn’t get to present the US president with the bowl of shamrocks. AND he’s having to stay put for the next ten days. I wonder how much his pay will be cut?

P & O Ferries have fired 800 employees and are going to hire cheaper staff to replace them. Is this an act of economic vandalism – or just capitalism at work?

Psst. Want to make a quick killing ( in every sense)? Buy some shares in arms manufacturing. Germany alone is spending such eye-watering sums, it’s enough to make you faint.

All this and more, to lift the morning-after-the-night-before feeling…
