I’m in London observing the beginning of the end.
And I’m struck by the number of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants that are open. Obviously people need fed and watered. Yet the BBC allowed Nolan -with Jim Wells’s help- to pillory a convenience store in Dungiven that chose to open today to serve their local customers, just as the stores that are open in London are doing, providing a service. He ran the story over a few days – absolutely disgraceful and potentially putting a business at risk.
How is the BBC -that I pay for- not challenged over the role Nolan plays here in presenting a very one sided, biased pot-stirring narrative?
If Nolan was on Cool FM I wouldn’t mind, I pay for the BBC and find his presenting dangerous, to say the least.
Also there are no flags here except the ones erected, most people are here to witness a spectacle, many shop workers didn’t even observe the 2 min silence and neither did most of the shoppers.
It is about tolerance; this is not N Korea. And they wonder why NI is failing.
London is very busy, yet there’s no litter left behind nor are there any flags, except the ones professionally erected. The OO could learn how to conduct marches if they came here and observed. But the reality is, the Britain they claim loyalty to and think they portray in their actions doesn’t exist, if it ever did.
London is a tolerant diverse city.
But live and let live is not the DUP’s nor Nolan’s narrative.

I don’t normally leave comments but I think that the amount of businesses and self employed who hve been forced to loose a day’s pay is disgraceful and Stephen Nolan is only a shit stirrer

The sad thing about Nolan is that barely a single journalist will put their head above the parapet to call him out.
I allowed my business to stay open last week. Anyone who wanted to stay off as a mark of respect were allowed to do so. Those who wanted to work were free to do so. I put in a caveat that next Monday could be used by those workers who worked on 19th as their day off. Basically I left my workers to choose. which Monday they wanted off. 93% plumped for this Monday..26th… everywhere is open this week so they can put their day off to good use. A happy workforce is a productive one. My business is based in Newtownards outside Belfast.
