‘Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.’ Simon Byrne, Chief Constable of the PSNI must feeling that, as he struggles to make sense of the leakage of details regarding his police force/service. Already republican dissidents say they have details of over 10,000 people working in the PSNI – including some undercover agents. Should Byrne be sacked, since he’s top dog and with him the buck stops? And what sort of system did they have anyway, that one clumsy click could send all this sensitive info flooding onto the website for anyone to read?

In the south, of course, the rank and file of the Gárda Siochána are counting the no-confidence votes regarding their top man Drew Harris, late of this parish. His crown may likewise become a crown of thorns.

Finally, is Jim Allister right in saying that if the protocol stays, NEI citizens will be reduced to serfdom and will be living under EU colonial rule? (Stop that sniggering, Virginia)

Enjoy…

Yea. The longer version. The shorter is too frenetic and makes you sound like speed daters.
