DOUGLAS MURRAY AND GORDON BROWN – TWO TURDS OF A FEATHER? – by Donal Kennedy

I think it was 2008 when I first became aware of Douglas Kear Murray, then aged 29.

The Sunday Times reported that he had written a play about Raoul Wallenberg, a heroic Swede who had negotiated the safety of thousands of Jews in Hungary who would otherwise have been murdered by the NAZI occupiers of that country.

Murray and the Sunday Times would have us believe (falsely) that Wallenberg’s name and heroism had been airbrushed out of history.

In fact, when Murray was making that claim Buenos Aires and London, Melbourne and Moscow, St. Petersburg,Stockholm, Sydney and Vancouver had monuments to Wallenberg.

Australia and  Canada, Hungary the USA and Israel had awarded Wallenberg posthumous honorary Citizenship.

Two operas bear Wallenberg’s name, one called “Raoul” and the other “Wallenberg.” The Irish singer Andy Irvine has recorded a song about him..

In 2014 “The Hero of Budapest, the Triumph and tragedy of Raoul Wallenberg” was reviewed in “History  TODAY”.

I wrote to the Sunday Times pointing out that Wallenberg’s heroism had not gone unnoticed but no lette contradicting its story was published.

It is speculated that Wallenberg was arrested in Budapest by Soviet Forces in 1945 and shot by the KGB in 1947.Moscow , but apparently there are no documents to verify those assumptions.

Douglas Murray, born in London to a Gaelic-speaking father from the Isle
of Lewis, was educated at Eton and Oxford.

Murray is a protege of Michael Gove, who, as a TIMES columnist has described the 1916 Insurgents as “squalid gangs who betrayed Ireland” and when the Cruiser was about as “the greatest living Irishman.”

The next time I became aware of Murray was shortly after I first read him,
he was on TV where he wore a sneer and patronised a panel which included men with one hundred times his accomplishments, including Nigel Lawson.

Murray is a leading light in the warmongering Henry Jackson society. There is much about him on the web. None of it to his credit.

I pointed out to the Sunday Times that Wallenberg was one of two Swedes who had done similar heroic work during WWII.

The other was Count Bernadotte  was  was appointed by the United Nations to liaise with the Jews and the native Arabs in Palestine.
i
Bernadotte with his aide, a French Lieutenant-Colonel always travelled unarmed and without an escort.

They were murdered  in what the United Nations Security Council characterised as  “a cowardly act by a criminal act of terrorism in Jerusalem while the United Nations Representative was fulfilling his peace-keeping mission in the Holy Land.”

The September 1948 killing was on the orders of Yitzhak Shamir who later became Prime Minister of Israel.

Gordon Brown has written a book on his heroes.

They include Raoul Wallenberg. Acceptable to mainstream media because the Soviets may be blamed for his death.

But the murder of Count Bernadotte was ordered by a future Israeli Prime Minister. So his life, humanity. heroism and brutal murder can be airbrushed out of history. In Orwellian terms he was a non-person.

Douglas Murray and Gordon Brown are what are politely known as “Birds of a Feather.”

But politeness is unwarranted here.

Ninety-Six Carat Turds the pair of them.

Moral Cowards..

Murray has recently taken to appearing on Talk TV wearing full Press War Correspondent gear, watching the IDF blowing up tunnels. In the background hundreds of pathetic people go past in a line of sorry humanity, young men pushing elderly relatives in wheelchairs over hard bumpy ground. He doesn’t overly concern himself with their plight.
