PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT LABOUR’S BY-ELECTION WINS, THE LATE ALEXEI NAVALNY, +MICHELLE & EMMA CAR-SHARE

The British Labour Party won two by-elections yesterday – does that matter? If Labour wins a general election, will that be an occasion for whooping and hollering, or for realising that the new UK government is Tory Lite?

Alexei Navalny, the Russian dissident, has been found dead in the Arctic place of exile to which Putin had him sent. He was still in his forties. Should we be surprised at what has happened?

Michelle O’Neill and Emma Little Pengelly shared a car to the funeral of John Bruton. Was that a break-throuugh or merely car-window-dressing?

Finally, Sadiq Kahn has name some new London overground stations as the Suffragette Line and the Windrush Line. The Tory press is going mad about it. Do names matter?

We pick our way through the entrails of this and more, much more….

Navalny was an unmitigated fascist. His comments about Muslims, and other minorities within Russia were despicable. His death suits the US more than it suits Russia, today. Statements on his “murder” may be premature.
A Labour party government under Stalker will be as protective of the British deep state as the Tories have been. We’ve had Roy Mason and Merlyn Rees inflicted on our people by British Labour.
The first Minister and her Deputy should do some joint appearances (and travel).
Getting the Tory press to tear their hair out is worth a renaming. Perhaps Bobby Sands Arena in Belfast would be a good name for the new stadium on Andersonstown road.
