Frank Hester: he has a way with words. And money

Frank Hester has a lot pf money. That’s why he gave £10 million to the Tory party. Needless to say, none of the Tories thought Frank was any other than a loaded boy scout, honourable and upright and rich. In their exclusive clubs, if someone raised Frank’s name in the same sentence as racist,  the room would rock with laughter and some would need a g and t refill before they could speak and say “Old Frank? Old Frankieboy a racist? I say – you are funny!”

But now it emerges that Frank has some stern views about race, and particularly the race that contains Diane Abbott. “You just want to hate all black women because she’s there.”  See what he did there? It was Diane Abbott’s fault that Frank felt inclined to hate all black women – not Frank Hester’s fault. What’s more, Frank preceded his remark by saying he was “trying very hard not to be racist.” That effort by him didn’t seem to last long. And did I mention that he thought “someone should shoot her”?

When a few belated Tories raised their voices to tell Frank to maybe pipe down, Frank said “the criticism had nothing to do with her gender nor the colour of her skin.”

Of course not. Who could possibly see a statement that said just seeing Diane Abbott made him want to hate all black women and that somebody should shoot her- it’s too obvious for words that Frank is being sinned against rather than sinning. Despite that, the Tory party are  hugely eager to return the £10 million donation. When will they do it? Um, ah, well, we’ve already spent it, alas.

You’re too good for this world, Frank. I’m amazed you’re still with us.

Diane Abbott has always faced terrible abuse, a lot of it because of her skin colour and a lot of it because of her past romance with Jeremy Corbyn. She has been a hate figure for the right for decades. People like Hester are only saying what a lot of boorish Tory supporters have said for a long time. She was also treated badly (politically) by the Labour party, because she went against conventional thinking and made a rather clumsy statement about anti semitism and bigotry in general. Starmer wanted her out of the way, the last of the Corbynistas.

Francis Xavier Hester claims Irish ethnicity and his Christian name proclaims a Catholic or
    Universalist ancestry.

St Francis Xavier converted dark-skinned Indians to Christianity.

I don’t know which is the greater Sin, Racism, or giving money to the Tory Party?
